Larry Schmitt, PhD
President and Founder
Larry Schmitt has been working with innovative companies to create competitive advantage and market leadership for over 35 years. His career-long involvement and interest in identifying the new opportunities that arise from emerging customer needs and new capabilities has been the foundation of Inovo.
In addition to both technical and managerial positions with multinational corporations like General Electric and Unisys, Larry has been an executive at Applied Intelligent Systems Inc., a start-up company acquired by Electro-Scientific Industries in 1998, and Intelligent Reasoning Systems Inc., acquired by Photon Dynamics in 2001.
Prior to founding Inovo, Dr. Schmitt started and ran Exponential Innovation, a consulting firm that applied and taught his theories of innovation.
Larry holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
